EPHC Welcomes Garden County Health Center as First Out-of-State Member

The Eastern Plains Healthcare Consortium is proud to welcome Garden County Health Center of Oshkosh, Nebraska, as the newest member of our growing consortium.

This milestone represents more than the addition of another healthcare organization. Garden County Health Center becomes EPHC's first member organization outside of Colorado, reflecting the expanding reach of our collaborative network and the shared challenges, and opportunities, that unite rural healthcare organizations across the Great Plains.

At EPHC, we believe that the best solutions to rural healthcare's toughest challenges are often found by learning from one another. By bringing together hospitals, clinics, health systems, and healthcare leaders, we create opportunities to share ideas, proven strategies, and innovative approaches that strengthen care for the communities we serve.

Garden County Health Center brings valuable experience to that conversation. As a Rural Emergency Hospital (REH) in Nebraska, the organization offers important insights into one of healthcare's newest rural care delivery models. Their perspective will enrich discussions around sustainability, access to care, workforce challenges, and the evolving landscape of rural healthcare.

We are excited to learn from CEO Sam Pennington and the Garden County team as they share their experiences serving patients in western Nebraska. At the same time, we look forward to supporting their mission through the resources, collaboration, educational opportunities, and peer network that define the EPHC community.
